Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Guided tours are offered Monday to Friday with advance reservations.

Admission

Adults $8, Youth (3-17) $6, seniors (65 and over) $6, children 2 and under are free. Pay admission at the General Store on arrival.

About Pioneer Farms

When visiting Pioneer Farm, visitors will get to walk into five themed historic areas to explore: a German Emigrant Farm, a Tonkawa Indian Encampment, a Cotton Planter’s Farm, a Texian Farm, and a rural village called Sprinkle Corner.

Families will get to see real Texas history on more than 90 wooded acres. The entire family will have a wonderful time at the Scarborough Barn where you can get up close with your favorite farm animals! Pioneer Farms welcomes visitors for self-guided tours, offers classes taught by artisans in period costumes, and much more. Prepare to dive into Texas history in a way that’s engaging for the entire family, making it one of the top outdoor family activities in Texas!
