About Bullock Texas State History Museum

The Bullock Museum gives you an insider’s look at Texas history!
Located in downtown Austin, Texas, the museum opened in 2001 as the official history museum of the State of Texas. Visitors will get to interpret the continually unfolding story of Texas through educational experiences, three floors of interactive exhibits, special effects shows in the Texas Spirit Theater, and Austin’s premier IMAX Theatre.
The entire family can visit this museum and have a wonderful time learning about Texas’ history through hundreds of artifacts, exhibitions, films, symposiums, community events, field trips, family-friendly and fun programs, and so much more!
