Girlstart is a place where young girls are encouraged to immerse themself in the world of STEM empowering them. Their mission is to create a future where all who identify as girls believe they can change their world through STEM. This organization is nationwide and women-led and offers a year-round out-of-school STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program for young girls in grades 4-8 in Texas, California, Massachusetts, and more.
With almost 30 years of experience, Girlstart is one of the longest-running programs devoted to empowering girls in STEM. The programs are designed to engage and increase confidence while introducing STEM careers to girls who have been historically marginalized providing them STEM knowledge in their different programs such as after-school programs, summer camps, and other community events.
