About Thinkery

In 1983, a group of parents and teachers in Austin came together to create a special place that offers new educational and cultural experiences for kids. This is how Thinkery was started – a space dedicated to sparking children’s imagination, creativity, and passion for learning. It’s a favorite spot for kids and their families in Austin, where they can engage in playful, hands-on, and interactive learning activities.

Originally known as the Austin Children’s Museum, Thinkery has since expanded and now boasts 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces filled with activities that encourage learning through play. Why not visit Thinkery? It’s a wonderful place where science and fun come together for families.
